One of the ways I’ve grown my business is to think differently about other agencies who one might think “do what I do.” There are lots of marketing agencies out there. And there may have been a time that I considered those agencies competition – we’re all out here trying to “land” the same clients.
But that’s just not true.
Agency work can run the gamut. Some offer a long menu of services, some stick to their niche. Some who offer that long list may or may not do all that work in-house. We have always stuck with our fine-tuned scope of work and skill: social media management. Because of that, it’s allowed us to partner with other agencies who might do every other kind of marketing – but not that.
Over the years, it’s given me the opportunity to sit at the same table and collaborate with other agencies. They may have a longtime client who now wants to get into building their social presence. Or they may be writing a proposal and need someone who can take this part of the work to be sure it’s being done well and by a team who has the skills, know-how and time to do it right.
This type of strategic partner is critical for our business development. We currently work with agencies who specialize in:
- Marketing strategy
- Public Relations
- Advertising
- Paid social
- SEO/Google ads
- Web design/development
- Online shopping
Our favorite part about working with partners like this is we are all on the same team, working in the best interest of our client. We all have the same goal: make the client shine, and in each case in which we are partnering like this, we find that everyone stays in their lane, we don’t trip over each other doubling up on tasks. We all meet regularly to make sure the right hand knows what the left is doing and it all works.
If you’re an agency that has a client who needs help with social, reach out. Let’s talk about how we can build a collaborative work structure together.
